Alternator?

Average life of an alternator in a GX? Replaced the timing belt water pump and thermostat at 100K, at 111K now. Wondering the time left on the alternator. Serpentine belt also changed.

There is no average life. Some fail at 60k, some fail at 200k. I’m at 167k on my original. If you’re worried about it, change it.

On my 2008 it failed at 60k

60K is crazy! I'm leaving it now but probably will plan for a Nov 2018 replacement.

First one failed at 80k. Preemptively changed at 190k

I changed mine out a few months ago on my 06' with 120k miles on it.
