Alternator "Pigtail" burnt up?
Just heard back from the electrical shop that has had my car for about 5 days now. I have a reman'd alternator ready to go in, but now they are saying my "pigtail" going out of the alternator is all burned up beyond normal use.
I had bought some reman'd alternator from BAP for $220 w/ a lifetime warranty, but now it's gonna be another 3 hours labor to build some custom pigtail thing, oh & about 3 feet of cable as the insulation is cooking off. They're giving me the wiring / parts they'll be using for this & only charging me for labor but what a pain!
GRRRR - Anybody want to by a 95 sc400 w/ a new water pump, timing belt, tires, & a reman'd alternator w/ nice pigtails? only 91k miles!
