I have searched the forum without success. Has anyone changed out the vanity mirror lights to LEDs? If so, I have a couple of questions. How do you get the lens off and what is the bulb size? I just changed all my lights in my IS, and my wife is jealous and wants hers changed in her GX! Thanks forum!!

 

What a huge difference in here versus the IS forum. Not too may visitors! Hopefully someone will eventually see my poor little posting.

 

Now I am interested. Where did you get the LED bulbs? I may do it in my old cars where some of the bulbs are out.

Got some directly from Lexus and the others from V-leds.com It makes the car look great. Just installed the trunk and vanity ones in my IS. Bye Bye filaments!

The Courtesy bulb on GX if that is what your asking is quite similar, I do not know abt IS. The GXCourtesy bulb lens has got a slot on it, wherein you can insert a small Phillips screwdriver or if you have leatherman. Tape the edge and just lift it with light pressure, and bingo it out and the bulb can be removed by giving a pull out holidng on the bulb onion. And the bulb type is 194 or 194LL ( long life). They come as pairs - blister pack. The LED is similar structure, yes you get various color to complement your interiors. The best one is Alumunium Coated High Powered. They are attached.

 

Better late than never. The bulbs in the sun visors are 30mm x 6mm festoon bulbs.
