Default Traction Control?

I've been trying to locate the traction control but i havent been able to do that. Was wondering if anyone knows how to turn traction off. And i've heard that you can watch your dvd in the navigation while you are in parked mode, which steps do you take to play the movie?

The only way to turn off the traction control is by locking the center differential. Why do you want to turn it off?

You cannot turn off traction control, you can disable VSC when you lock the center diff but then your driving in true 4x4 mode, 50/50 split and you don't want to do that on dry ground

If you do find an actual way to defeat traction control and VSC and have the truck in driveable condition, the 4Runner goes would like to know

On my 2005, need to have the parking brake on. I don't think you even have to be in park, but you do need to be going less than about 3mph (again with the parking brake on).

With the DVD playing (on the Rear screen) hit the Audio button on the front display (this is from memory, I'll check tonight and edit if incorrect).

Update:
Do NOT need the RSES (rear screen) on
Parking Brake on
Does NOT need to be in Park, but must be stopped or less than about 3mph
Hit the disc button to cycle from CD to DVD, Video will appear on front screen

Thanks for the replies. What can you do to get the most power out of the gx and how would you do it?

Put the tranny in drive and press the pedal on the right all the way down!

Are you looking for aftermarket mods to increase power or just trying to see how to get the most out of your stock vehicle?

well it is stock right now because i can't find any mods for it except an electric supercharger which is i think *bs*. But I found out that TRD has some discountinued superchargers for the 4 runners which will fit in the gx but cost too much. Would you happen to have any suggestions? Let me know how to get full power out of stock and some other mods i can get. Thanks

You will get less traction control interaction with the Center Diff button engaged. This is because you are already telling the system to lock part of the AWD system together so there is one less item the traction control can detect.

The best way to get the best amount of power is to put the GX in Low Range.
