I think "backup" copy would be useful only if the dvd player supports dvd +R or -R... No use if it only supports ROM.

yes i agree totally .. its only useful if u can get the dvd drive to reconize a -Ror a + R i dont have a drive to try this but i'd be really nice...
and yes this disk does say DATA ver.03.1
copy right denso copr
copy right 2002 navigation technologies
copyright gdt geographic data technologies

it says at teh bottom it will update your room and only support disk version.02.1 after u plop it in which is pretty cool

and it has a dvdrom logo on it

Guys just a reminder we won't allow discussions about cracking, selling, or actively trading illegally copied software on our forums. It puts ClubLexus at risk for legal action.

Legitimate backups to protect your software is fine. Any further than that and threads will be locked or removed.

Thanks for your understanding.

So any word on a new version? I remember someone had said April a while back, but I never heard any more. The last version was October, is it just a once a year update? There are several major highways in my area that have been finished/rerouted lately and I'd love to have an update.

I hope you don't mean "a new section each year" as in one of those 10 sections on the map. That would be a decade in between updates. Maybe 4 sections would be OK.
