Default Test Ride - GSF

I'm so tore on purchasing a GSF as my GS350 is still hanging on.

I was hoping a nice GSF owner in the neighborhood is willing to give me a test ride in their GSF. I live in Tustin and work in Anaheim so if anyone is available, shoot me message.

Thanks!

Had a similar thing happen to me. Guy at my church has a 2016. I asked him if I could take it for a spin since I was in the market for one. Said no(said he doesn’t let anyone drive his car). Asked him if he could take me for a ride in it. Said maybe but never did. Closest I got to driving one was a test drive of my friends IS F. That car sealed the deal for me and I bought my 2017 site unseen lol. Hopefully you can find someone who actually has one and let’s you drive it.

Either way, you can’t go wrong with buying one.

I think there are a fair share of GS F owners in SoCal somewhat local to you … perhaps try a couple of the FB groups ..

if you happen to be in San Diego at all I’d def be open to giving you a ride and check out the car ..

Check out the Turo app. You may get lucky and find a GSF to test drive there.

I mean, I could see the not letting anyone drive his car but he wouldn't even give you a ride in it?

I bought my '20 GSF new a year and half ago and only have 3,300 miles on it and baby it, but if anyone wants to give it a spin then I would let them! If anyone wants to give it a spin, I'm in the DC area.

If you ever happen to be in the Thousand Oaks area, I would be happy to give you a ride in my GSF and answer any questions.

Ya it’s not like I was a complete stranger. I had expressed my deep interest in the vehicle over the past few months prior to my request.

Anyways, long story short, homeboy was totally shocked when I pulled up in mine a few sundays after that lol. He told me “I honestly didn’t think you’d settle on a GS F considering that most people go for something that’s German”.

I got a 2016 model, and I've sat in a GS350 (2015 f sport model) before. Comparing the two, I'd say the GSF rides quite a bit more stiff than the 350. Engine is also much more athletic. And on a stock car, you can easily hear the engine note (and some exhaust) even with the ASC off, without even driving aggressively, vs the 3.5 V6 where you don't hear much from it in stock form.

I personally wouldn't let others drive my car either, just hate to deal with any legal/insurance issues down the road in case something happened.

@TrevorR Where do you get your GSF serviced in DC area? I don't like any VA dealers, thinking of trying MD. Any tips?

Sweet, text me and we can arrange a date/time.

I live close to Newport and 17th street.

I've been kinda torn between a GSF vs Tesla, but heavily leaning toward the GSF. I get the Tesla is super fast, but just hearing the car scream is what i enjoy.

Wowa those are polar opposites lol. Imo, I think you’d eventually get bored of the Tesla. Ya it’s fast, but it does so without zero drama. No noise or mechanical wind up at all. Even doing 0 to 30-40 mph makes me crack a smile everytime in my GS F.
