I'm new here. Just got a 2019 GS F! I posted a couple pics. I loveee it! The only issue I’m having is my break pads squeak like crazy & the break dust sucks (I know the squeaking is normal on our cars). I read about Tom’s pads & was wondering everyone’s experience on them. I know our breaks are supposed to squeak but from what I’ve read with Tom’s it’s almost nonexistent & the break dust is very minimal!!
If anyone can post a URL or something showing me the exact ones you purchased too even if they aren’t Tom’s but you had a good experience let me know please.
Also if anyone sells them or can shoot me to a good rep.
Congrats on your car. You can ping Josh from Meraki Autoworks on these forums for the Tom's. I use the yellow EBC brake pads and got them from Amazon. They are as good as the stock ones and without the squeak, also reasonably priced, but I don't think many use them here. Others use the Mu and they are highly praised.
I'm not sure what pads are on my car, but they don't squeak or squeal at all. I got it back in 2020 with 10K miles on it. It's a 2017. I checked the service history and didn't see any pads replaced so I assume they are stock Lexus pads, perhaps the 2nd generation that don't squeal or dust as much, but considering yours is a 2019, you'd think it would have come with the later pads.
I've heard good things about Tom's and Project Mu. Reach out to Josh and let him know your goals. He'll get you on the right track.

I've tried the EBC yellow on my other car before, it dusted pretty bad, wheels turned from silver to gunmetal in about 60 miles. How is the dust issue for the EBC yellow on F cars, same as OEM, or less?

I don’t think there is an aftermarket pad out there as bad (dust) as OEM brembos. I had no problem sacrificing a fraction of performance to get rid of them. I remember cleaning my wheels and after a day they were covered again like I hadn’t touched them.
I personally went with Project Mu pads, very happy with them. Best bang for the buck.
No dust or squeal, and have lasted over 30k miles so far and no sign of wear.
It’s embarrassing to sound like a school bus coming at a stop. I need to replace mine.
10K miles on OEM pads.
there’s a TSB and lexus will replace the pad for a less performance pads without the noise. Anyone know how they perform?

Most do not. Lexus robs you for sensors. Centric has them at a good price, but the quality isn't the same as the Lexus units. I just rewire mine when they burn through.
