Default Steering issues

Good Day to all,

I been having this issue with my steering to the point that dont even remember if its something that normal on my 2015 gs350 fsport. I upload a short clip. But basically, if there is the slightest imperfection on the road and i brake at a slow speed the steering wheel turns on it own and it wont recover. Everything thing on this vehicle is oem. No changes or mods.

Seems like the brake caliper on the passenger side is sticking if it only happens when braking. Caliper sticks and brakes only front passenger wheel, pulling the car that way. You could also have other worn out suspension components and/or too much toe/toe-out in your alignment that makes the problem worse because the car doesn't re-center.

Sounds like the known Lexus steering rack issue, that many Lexus and Toyota's have suffered from.

I have this exact issue. Usually braking at a slightly bumpy road will guarantee this.

I have a 15 base model and i have similar issues as well. Seems like either the electric power steering and or the articulation of the suspension is different than any other car ive owned. One thing i have noticed especially, is the crown of the road at above 60+ has a huge impact on the vehicles tracking going straight. Below 60 its perfectly fine and not so much of an issue unless the road is grooved then it does what is described by others above.

This seems different from my vehicle. On my vehicle, issues only occur at low speeds and breaking gently on a slightly bumpy road. The steering just gives up all control as if the electronics are turned off.

The easiest thing to do is check the brake caliper for smooth motion. If it is dragging, it will show more wear than the other wheel side. It might even show more wear on the inside/outside of the same caliper if it is sticking in one place.

Once you rule that out, you can move on to the more difficult and expensive options.

I'm actually looking to get mine replaced soon as well. Any suggestions on brands? First time replacing pads lol.
