2016 ML Headunit Problems
I instaled the Lexion multimedia interface last night. Everything went smoothly and was able to get the unit tested with my system. Android booted and Android Auto worked as well. Joystick worked pretty well.
Now comes the sad part. Tested the OEM system and kept getting a pink screen. I can't even get any audio to work at all. Thinking it was a problem with the Lexion unit, I put everything back to stock. Started it up, I get the Lexus startup page, then nothing. All blank.
The climate controls are working.
I have tried the following already with no success:
1. checked the fuse for rad no.1, rad no. 2 and the multimedia fuse and all are fine.
2. disconnected the battery for 10 minutes to reset ECU.
3. Held down the pwr button for 5 seconds
4. Checked for fault codes with Carista and no faults found.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That Pink screen is normally a sign that the display is not getting a feed from a source. I got that screen playing around with not the right cable connectors on the split screen to full screen swap. Can you take the Map SD card out then put back in and see what happens?

Thanks for the suggestion.
Not to jump on a fallen horse, but this ML system seems so intertwined with everything, I do not think I would attempt to do anything to my 2013 head unit. I know Peasodos and others have replaced theirs to newer models and all, but I still find the head unit fine for what I need it for. Play music, and show me some gas mileage screens. I really do not know what others expect it to do. Good Luck though.

I wanted to post an update.
I managed to pick up a used 2016 head unit off ebay. Installed and everything is working including the Binarytech/Carsyso (Lexion) unit.
I also received word from the service center regarding my head unit. The word is that they cannot fix it at this time and their best guess is a firmware/eprom issue. The tech also mentioned that he has been getting a fair bit of head units from other Toyota/Lexus cars that have the same issue. He also mentioned that Toyota knows of this problem plaguing their head units and so far the only fix is to go to Pioneer or Panasonic.
Thank you for all the replies.
Loving the android auto upgrade. The joystick, steering wheel controls work really well. Boot up is fast. Very responsive and doesn't seem to have any lag moving from app to app. It uses oem mic. Also, if on oem side, waze navigation prompts are heard through the center speaker. Audio quality is fantastic.
No regrets with the Lexion unit.
