Center consol not working
My satnav, aircon, clock, phone consol has turned off.
Screen blank and only the emergency flashing lights button and the security light are on.
none of the other buttons work and the separate clock on the same unit is out too.
I'm hoping that its a fuse blown, but finding which one it is is not being helped by the lack of detail in the Lexus manuals supplied.
Even finding the internal fuse block was hard enough.
Thank 'god' for utube or whoever is responsible.
There is no page showing the fuse blocks and the relevant fuse connections in the Lexus books (what's that about)
Every other car i've owned detailed fuses and finished with last page wiring details showing connecting blocks and inline fuses etc.
Can anyone help point me to the correct thread or link.
I noticed that someone mentioned that people had posted about broken consuls and screens not working but had no link to follow.
My car is a 2007 RX400h right hand drive and live in the UK,
Not looking forward to having to go to main dealers to get this sorted out.
I managed to get hold of a workshop manual and checked out all the fuses related to the satnav unit and pulled each fuse, and did a visual and continuity check with my multimeter.
Finding none blown, as a last result i checked out a couple more including the ECU for instruments and controls and OBD, can't remember the name but will check and let you know.
The fuses were all good, but after closing the fusebox and deciding to check out some of the connectors mentioned in the workshop manual I tried the ignition switch and when the ready light came on so did the clock, and a second or so later the satnav started back up.
Cant say which one worked but have my suspicion that it may have been the OBD or ECU fuse reset it.
The only thing i had been doing before I had this problem was trying to get my laptop to recognise the drivers for Techstream.
I had given up and ran to the supermarket and back not long before this started.
Thank you for the heads up, and hope the cure helps someone else, if i'd tried each fuse then turned on the ignition between fuses i may have known what one kickstarted the satnav.
