Default TPMS registering tool?

After searching and reading and searching and reading, I am now going to ask...What is the preferred tool for dealing with our TPMS nonsense? Dumb *** tire guys broke one while putting on my new tires, and are too dumb or do not have the right tool (or both) to unlock the ECU and register the new TPMS module.
So, as an investment, I would like to purchase a tool to take care of this issue as I see it happening again and again. What is the preferred tool to buy that will do it all (unlock ECU) and do what needs to be done to support our TPMS requirements?
Thanks
G

Yea.....the NTB here does not have the chops to execute it so I am looking for a solution to own.

Make sure they replace it with an oem sensor, otherwise it won't show the psi numbers on the dash, it's a very common Toyota part.

Download techstream and invest in a mongoose OBD-II cable. Best $20 buck I've spent and I was able to reprogram the ECU with the new TPMS reg code plus more. You will also need a TPMS scanner to pull the reg code off each sensor, but that is if you already have the sensor inside the tire.

I use the ATEQ Quickset to switch between summer and winter tire sets, works like a charm

You need a Windows PC do the initial programming by entering the TPMS codes into the device

Once programmed it takes like 30 seconds to reprogram TPMS codes to the ECU

Was able to register tpms with Carista app and wireless dongle. That’s if you already have the tpms Id

Can anyone recommend a good TMPS scanner tool? A while back the pressure numbers would randomly stop showing up (seemed like first drive of the day they wouldn't, then would show up the remainder of the day). Now they never show and my tire pressure light is always on. Pressure is fine, but read on here that if the light blinks for a minute after start up, it's a bad sensor. I'd like to identify which sensor and replace myself.

Did this cable work for you? I have the exact same cable and I cannot get it to program my TPMS sensor. I read it could be due to the dongle being on the older firmware not the 2.0.4 firmware and not supporting new protocols. Worked just fine on my 3GS but not my 4GS to program the TPMS. I could read all the data from the car but cannot write any new values.
