I just picked up a 2015 L/Certified GS-350 F-Sport... It had a noticeable door rattle while playing music at a moderate sound level, specially when bass would drop off (Hey Nineteen by Steele Dan would make it rattle consistently).
Had it in to dealership about a week after I go it... They ordered a new speaker and said they added insulation... But it was not fixed...
The vibration seemed to be coming from the window switches... I took it apart from the door and indeed, the top cover of the switch would vibrate as I tapped it with my hands. It seems there is a slight amount of play between the top cover and the body of the switch.
I added a couple of drops of hot glue to both sides of the cover and the rattle is completely gone. See pictures of my work.
I figured I pass it along just in case any one is suffering from the same issue.
I used a flat plastic spatula tool to separate the switch from door panel. Started towards the back of car, then popped the side by the mirror switches. Be careful and take your time. There are clips holding it in place, you can see some of them in my pictures. Here's a video removing the whole door panel, look at ~1 minute into video for switch removal on passenger side. Same for driver's door. I would not use a screw driver like he did...
Based on the look of the clips and my experience with an ES, you should not need to remove the door panel. You should be able to insert a panel tool along the edge of the cover and just pop it up.
@peasodos a zip tie by itself fixes it? I put tape on a year ago but the noise came back and I'm sick of it. I was gonna get some sound deadening material to put over it

Actually I removed the windows switch panel from the gloss black plastic trim, put felt tape were the two plastics contact each other, then put it back together, and ran a zip tie through the middle.
The problem here is those plastics are vibrating against each other when the bass hits. The felt tape and the zip tie makes it one solid piece.

I see, to remove the panel from the gloss black trim did you just unscrew?
The two parts are just clipped together, you don't remove any screws. I just used a small flat head screw driver.
I just removed the panels on both sides and doesn’t seem like they’re making any noise at all when I tap on them or shake them. Weird, and hard to tell exactly where it’s coming from since there’s a bunch of random rattles but I guess I just have to deal with it
Late to the party on this one but I resolved this with Tesa tape and some sound deadener. Tesa's cloth-like tape you can get from Amazon, sound deadener I use is Knu Konceptz Kolossus, while you're tending to the door(s) cut and stick some to your subwoofer shelf for best results imo.
There is a youtube video on this. I just ran a single zip tie through the center to fasten it down.
I'm sure your old speaker was perfectly fine.
sorry for reviving this thread, but what do you mean ‘through the centre’. I’ve had this issue and have tried everything and would love to try the zip tie method, but not sure where. Pictures would be great
