what is blue light on dashboard?

 

need more specifics. where is it? what does it look like? Do you do anything to trigger it? Could be your high beams are on. Could be the eco mode lamp. Could be low washer fluid. Could be your frostbitten hand. We don't know....

 

The background light?

In Eco and Normal mode my background light is blue. The more I step in the gas the more dim it gets (in a hybrid here). Sport and sport+ the dash is red.

 

Same in the non-hybrid versions. Lamp can be turned off via dash settings.

 

It indicates how economically you are driving, thus it dims when you hit the gas and is red when you are in not in normal/eco mode.

 

depending which light your talking about, it could be your high beams. I pulled up to a driver to inform them their high beams are on, and she replied adn said "what is that?". I have lost faith in humanity

 

As long as the blue lights are on the dash and not your rear-view mirror, you're good.

But to echo the others, assuming you're referring to the eco light, it's simply meant as an aid to encourage light-throttle driving. I was too annoyed with it so I turned it off.

 

The blue light on the dashboard is described in the owners manual. Do you know where the owners manual is located?
