Default Homelink Issue

Just picked up my 2014 GS 350 and tried to program the Homelink for my garage door and noticed that the LED that should illuminate when depressing the buttons on the mirror is not coming on. I checked fuses for the overhead power and other fuses which might deliver power to the mirror and none are blown. Any other pointers? Overhead power and sun roof are working fine.

The mistake many people make is not first programming the garage remote control to the vehicle - they [incorrectly] think that programming just the opener to the vehicle is all that is needed. Programming the garage remote control to your vehicle must be done first, and then program the opener to the vehicle.

Thanks, I did follow this procedure as you described above. My issue is that I have no visual indication (blinking LED) of the programming process as I do not believe the mirror (and Homelink buttons) has any power. LED does not illuminate when the buttons are depressed.

I don't know what the problem could be unless someone has been messing around with the wiring to add a camera or radar detector. If you bought the car from a Lexus dealership it should have been caught and fixed before it was sold...and they will take care of it for you. However, if you bought the car somewhere else you'll likely be at the mercy of the Lexus dealership to troubleshoot the problem and fix it for you...or you can try to have the seller fix it...

Back to the dealer this week to resolve this one, car is a CPO so I am surprised they didn't catch this before it was sold. No signs of tampering with the overhead, I am sure the dealer can resolve.
