Just got a '14 ES to go with the '12 we already have. Love them both! The '14 has this bluish light at startup which disappears after a few seconds. Any way to have it stay on? I kinda like it. I seem to remember a GS loaner had this light all the time. Thanks & Happy New Year.

 

Yes, put the vehicle in eco mode. The blue back light will appear. It also appears in normal mode as well depend on your throttle position for fuel efficiency.

 

Adding to the above, the level of the blue light in ECO or Normal mode varies depending on how fuel efficient your driving is at any given time. The more your driving is fuel efficient, the brighter the blue light becomes, and, the less fuel efficient your driving is, the dimmer the light becomes until it turns off completely. Also note that, in Sport mode, the blue light is replaced by a constantly glowing red light.
