Default Sunroof?

I have a 2014 GS350 AWD F-Sport that I purchased back in May of this year. The other day we had a very heavy rain during the day and I didn't have my sunroof shade closed so to my surprise when I looked in one corner as I was sitting on the inside as I started the car I could not only see a little bit of light but water dripping a bit. I made sure the sunroof was closed all the way but if I put my hand over there it was a little wet from the drip. This is my 5th Lexus and I have never had that before thinking it was either a bad seal or possibly the sunroof needed to be adjusted, I called my local dealer and made an appt to get this checked out. They called a day later and told me this was normal and all sunroofs are never so tight that you won't see light through the seal or won't drip in places but since they have water channels it's ok. Is this BS or this indeed true? Should I raise this issue with the service manager there or let it go?

Also, when sunroof is titled up, I do notice a lot more wind noise then I ever noticed in my 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD, is that normal?

All windows and sunroofs leak a bit. Key is that the water then drains away. Door glass leaks go
down through the door and out the drain holes on the bottom of the door. Sunroof leaks enter tubes
that lead away from the roof. Try checking the corners of your open sunroof and clear any debris you
find blocking the drain holes. Careful use of compressed air might help, be sure not to force any object
more deeply into the tubes!

Sunroofs on the 2014's and primarily the 2013 models have always been problematic. I had my sunroof replaced a couple of years ago on my 2013 and I think I was one of the first because Lexus had my car for a month and flew out 3 Lexus techs from California for a few days to investigate and take measurements. I've never had or heard of so many sunroof issues on any other car which is pretty annoying considering it's a 60k car.

If it's slightly leaking and not causing wet spots anywhere, then I think it's normal. If it's making any considerable noise, which mine was, then it's not normal and there is a problem with the sunroof.

I've never had a problem with my 2013's sunroof leaking, rattling or making wind noise. Makes me wonder why some have a problem, and others don't...

I had a problem with a loud snapping sound occasionally when driving up steep driveways at an angle. It was related to the sunroof and the dealer replaced several parts in order to address it. It happened on both my 2013 and 2015. The tech was surprised my 2015 had the issue since it was supposed to already have been addressed for 2014MY.

Never noticed any moisture getting in, but it never really rains down here in SoCal.
