Default led light replacement guide?

hi guys..

I'm in the midst of replacing all the halogen bulbs on the car..

so far i have done the door light with led bulbs but I need some help with the others..

Turn Signal Light Bulb Rear is 7440.

Turn Signal Light Bulb Front is 7444NA

Vanity Mirror Light Bulb Is 175

Reverse light is 921

which led upgrades did everyone used? for the turn signal light front.. I would need amber ones correct? do i need amber ones in the back also??

and the biggest question.. what's the size for the puddle lamp? i looked at sylvania but can't find the puddle lamp one? i want something that's bright.. the halogen ones in there are just way too dim.

thanks

For the rear turn signals, many on the NX forum have swiped their 7440 bulbs for these LED ones. They don't require resistors and don't hyper flash. I assume it'd work for the GS too. I'm considering doing this change too.

For the reverse lights, I ordered and installed these bulbs. They are much brighter than stock.

What about the puddle lamp? The one on the side mirrors?

How close does the new bulb get to the reverse light lens since it is a longer bulb than the stock bulb by 0.2"

There was no fitment issues and I think there were still a few inches between the bulb and lens.

I used a 194 bulb for the puddle lamps from vleds with the 5000k color (http://www.vleds.com/shop-bulb-numbe.../360/6-5k.html).

Depending on your taste, you might want a bulb for the puddle lights with more blue in it (go for the 6000k in this case).

I used these bulbs for my puddle lights and found them to be really bright.

How much space was in the puddle lamp housing if I wanted to go with a slightly longer CREE 194 bulb.

There was definitely some room in the housing to put a longer bulb but I don't have exact dimensions. The VLED bulbs I used are definitely longer length-wise than the standard halogen 194 bulbs they used from the factory. I've used both iJDMToy bulbs in my previous IS 350 (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/2W-T10-2825...s-p/10-300.htm) and now VLEDs in the GS puddle lamp housings with no problem.

I highly recommend any of the 194 bulbs from either one of these manufacturers but I give a slight edge to the VLEDs for quality.

You may be able to get a better idea as to the housing/space from images from the following thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...light-led.html

Here are a couple of output pics of the VLED 5K 194 LED bulbs in the puddle housing (looks better in person!):

I'm looking to swap some of the stock bulbs with LEDs too. A comprehensive list of each bulb and suggested replacements would be great. I'm sure the rest of the community would want this stickied. Keeping the OPs list going:

Puddle light is 194
Reverse light is 921
Turn Signal Front is 7444NA
Turn Signal Rear is 7440.
Vanity Mirror Is 175
