Default Objects in mirror closer than they seem

Need to know if I am nuts and imaging things or do I have an issue. I had the dealer replace both of the motors in my side view mirrors as they stopped tilting downward when in reverse (2013 GS350). I got the car back today and I feel like the objects in the driver's side mirror are magnified and seem much closer than they really are. The passenger side mirror is completely normal. Am I imaging things? Is there a way this repair could cause my driver's side view mirror to make objects look like I am looking into a fun house mirror? Let me know if you need any info regarding the repair. Thanks in advance!

U just need to drive faster that's all. I floor it when I see images zooming in my mirrors.

They replaced the motor not the mirror glass right?

The mirrors are not interchangeable from side to side. I believe you are imagining things, unless for some unknown reason the dealership replaced your driver's side mirror with a RHD passenger side mirror (non US spec). This is very unlikely.

I think most of us sometimes start imagining things after a change/repair has been made and wonder if it (whatever) was always like that before, or if something is now different. I know that I am sometimes like that.

My guess is that your full attention is now focused on the actual mirrors and you are just imagining that the driver's side mirror is now magnified where it wasn't before the repair.

I thought the same thing (that I'm just imagining things) but I asked someone else to sit in my driver's side and look at the mirror and they said the same thing. It's as if I have a fun house mirror in my side view mirror. I'm back at the dealership now for another reason (driver's side door stopped locking after the repair) and I will mention it to them. Let's see what they say..

Try a '16 while you're there and see if they also have these fun house mirrors.
