Never ordered one but they always had the one I wanted in their inventory/lot.
Have you maybe tried to check if your local dealers have the same exact car your looking for?

Or see if your dealership can find one for you. Just get a quote first on the build you want. Get the numbers straight.

Oh ya get get the numbers straight first.
Every dealership I walked into first they wanted to do is show me car have me test drive it and I always told them I seen the car and I even drove the car lets get straight to business and talk pricing.
If prices were what I was looking for then we can proceed the next day (in the meanwhile I'm going dealer to dealer shopping for best quote). If they quote me a high price I just get up and say thanks for your time mr.salesman or whatever I just walk out because I don't want my time to be wasted. Straight to the point

There's no need to go down to the dealer to get a deal now. It's more convenient and easier to deal with internet sales departments at the different dealers. Just email them what car you want and what numbers you want. Then go into the dealer that gives you the best deal. Less likely to deal with the salesmen at the dealer who like to "play games" with you to get you to pay more.

Sometimes the internet sales department likes to "Invite" you down to the dealership as well.
But I had fun shopping around dealer to dealer got to meet the manager and now I know which dealer to get next car from
