I put a deposit down in mid July and was promised msrp. I do not intend on paying that, but wasn't going to quibble at the time. By October when gasoline prices are north of $3, Lexus dealers might be ready to negotiate, even with a new model.

I see that you are in NJ. I'm trying to find out the one person ahead of me in the "queue" at DiFeo Lexus in Bound Brook.

I didn't even actually put a deposit in. they just took my credit card information to hold my place in the line. They don't take "deposits" per se.

My dealer is Cherry Hill Lexus and they required a $1000 down.

I was thinking of putting a deposit or reserving one myself. I will be trading in the GS I have enough gas guzzlers and want something that will keep me from going to gas station so much. I was thinking of either the IS or the TSX, I'm still debating on this one.

The IS will be a little more $ but much nicer & fresher, & have more of the latest gadgets than the TSX, stay with Lexus
I guess you're not considering the IS350, since you want better gas mileage huh ?

Correct, I want the gas mileage, but not so much to put me in a Hybrid or an econo box you know. Money is not an issue I only mentioned the TSX because I drove one and really liked it, thats what I would get if I didn't stay with Lexus, but of course I'm going to wait until the car comes out and test drive it and such before I purchase. I guess you can say I'm going back and forth with "should I reserve one now? or wait until its on the lot"

Although the gas mileage isn't quite going to be to TSX level, I'm figuring it'll be pretty far up there at least.
