Hi guys,
For people who have ordered or are looking for the 450h, what's the latest people are being told for expected delivery dates? My dealer told me the first ones won't arrive until mid to late July.

 

Mine arrived at the port in Jacksonville on the 18th. I'm looking for it to arrive today or tomorrow. At this moment the dealer is trying to check it's status as whether its still at port or on a truck heading here (Roswell GA) They did have it hot loaded with two other sold cars.

 

FWIW-my dealer ordered one for me thats scheduled for August--however--based on my position in his wait list he already called me to tell me one was available this week. (he called 2 weeks ago) but that one was not the color nor equiped the way I wanted it--

I doubt of one of the regular built ones wil meet my requirements so I wil wait for the special order.

 

Your dealer told you wrong. Mine will be here today or tomorrow as it is being trucked from Portland, OR to IA.

 

Areas by areas, some dealers should get them earlier than others. Perhaps, your dealer's 1st one will be there late in July.

One of ppl here, art123, has driven his 450h for days. He's in FL.

 

my dealer told me that the 450h would be in late july, early august. the wait is killing me!

 

Storm--did they give you a build date?

My dealer advised me 3-5 weeks after build date depending on not just overseas shipping but how quickly they can turn it around in the west coast port.

 

i wasn't given a build date (i didn't ask either). so if 450h shipment comes in 5 weeks from now, that would be end of july. i can assume that the vancouver shipment has been built and is in the process of being loaded on board a ship.

 

I pick mine up the day after tomorrow (24th June)

Yeah well, they de-committed.

 

I passed 300 miles yesterday on a 450h. Fuel economy is slightly below 25mpg. If I drive correctly I may be able to work that up to 27. I do a lot of turnpike driving and punch the accelerator far too often. My mpg would be atypical. Maybe one day I will learn to drive correctly.

 

Got mine this morning. Very fancy. I find the seats (non-ventilated) sticky, but I suppose that will improve as the leather breaks in. Blutooth mic volume seems OK. iPod integration works very well.

In a country where 40% of new cars are grey and 25% are black, I wanted to be different. This is the middle model of the range. Strangely, there is no catalog or price list on the Swiss Lexus website yet. I forget what the trimm levels are called. Something like Business, Executive, Limited and High-Tech. High-tech is a sort of parallel model that misses some of the top-level comfort items, but has all the techie things and a few specific options available too. I got things like the HDD nav, active Xenons, 19" wheels, non-ventilated leather, reversing camera, but not the side camera, automatic rear door, steel suspension rather than air, iPod/USB, no Mark Levinson, no HUD. I did not want the sunroof.
