Hey all,

Well, picked up the GS! Thanks for all the advice, I swung what is IMHO a pretty incredible deal...to drive a car like this for about $70 more a month than my ES IMHO is pretty good.

Wound up with the luxury package, silver with flaxen interior. Very sharp.

Love the car so far, the solidity and quality vs the ES is remarkable, reminds me a lot of the LS in normal mode, but in Sport + it gets mean! Have a lot of reading to do!

Pics will follow, I promise!

Yeah, although I could have gotten an even more killer deal on the Premium car, I would always want the luxury package. Thanks for talking me into it.

Here's a quick iPhone pic to get you started, I'll take better pictures tomorrow:

Nice ride!!!....Now all you need to do is throw her into sports plus mode, drive to a highway on-ramp, accelerate through the bank and then let her loose on the straight away...im still amazed that after doing this and i hit about 90-95 mph, she still wants to run harder, she still feels like she has alot left to give but then my grown up side kicks in and wants to avoid an expensive speeding ticket. Have fun with her

Probably not, I'm not much of a modder. I might go crazy and tint the windows or something

I was considering getting the F-sport grille inserts, at least the upper one. I'm not a huge fan of the black slat style grill.

Sewell has the upper one for about $380, any thoughts?

Unfortunately, only the F Sport upper grille will work with the standard front bumper.

I felt almost exact same way last night although I didn't pass 90 (on 65mph freeway).

OP: Congrats and enjoy your new ride. I might get the F grille. I didn't know we could do this.

I figured, but even the upper grill I think would be an improvement...

Nice Steve!
I didn't think you would go for the '13 ES.
I'll be in the market for '14 and at this point it's between the GS,5 Series and A6.It will be tough for me to not go Lexus but I do love A6 and 5 Series and don't keep a car very long.So those two can work but.....

I loved the A6, but the main issue was Audi doesn't have a very good lease. In order to get the equipment I wanted (even things as simple as ventilated seats and a power tilt wheel) you have to get the Prestige model which is priced similarly to the luxury package GS. They weren't willing to come off as much as Lexus (no rebates) and their leases are terrible. An A6 priced $1k less than my GS would have cost me $200 more a month.

I also like the 5 series, its a great looking car. But again, to get something as simple as ventilated seats you need to get something incredibly high package. A comparable 5 to my GS would have been $70k.
