At 6,600 miles, my brakes on my F Sport finally squeaked pulling out of the parking garage at DFW after the car had been sitting for a few days. Not a peep after that.

I would also like the TSB info.

So I took my F-Sport into the dealership today and it actually applies to ALL models. My have squeaked since I got the car and I waited till I had 19,000 miles before I took it in. I should have waited till they needed to be replaced, but there ya have it. Brand new front brakes for free!!

The difference they told me was that the original brakes didn't have grooves in the pads, so the brake dust would sit on the pad and cause a squeak...so the new ones have grooves in the pads for the brake dust to sit in...To me this is what it sounded like..."blah, blah blah - you have new pads for free - blah blah blah"...hahahahaha

So if you have an F-Sport and your VIN sits in this sweet spot, take it in for new pads...and bring this for a reference because they told me they haven't seen this until they look it up in the system (it is totally hidden)...

Enjoy!!

Just a quick question. What if my VIN is out of the range but my F-Sport squeaks at all the know places everyone says it normally happens. I bought the car in Dec of 2012. I was even able to record it at a backed up highway on-ramp. Do you think it would be enough proof for them to replace?

Truly appreciate the information. I took it in, and they stated "We could not replicate the sound". It was quite for a while and during random times it comes back.... ESPECIALLY going slow in a drive through...sound like a BUS about to stop.

I ended up recording video of the sound so that they have no excuse. I will take my video and this document with me to have them change it for FREE!!!

I appreciate the research. FREE BRAKES!!!
