Mine started squeaking at 5,500 miles for 1k miles but then it stopped by itself.

I have 7,500 miles now and so far it is still quiet. Cross my fingers.

Anyone has any update on the fix? My 5K service is coming up and I want this fixed. In my case, it's on and off, not all the time. But if there is a fix, I'd like to ask the dealer to fix it for me. Thanks.

There is a fix for both models
go to your dealer.. this is under warranty. For what they told me it is only front pad change to a different material.

Thanks for the update. I have 8k now. The noise just started. Similar to other posts, I have the squeak when backing out of the garage in the morning and leaving from work at the end of the day. I'm bringing it in soon and will bring this up.

Sweaky brakes are resolved! The dealer needs to special order these pads. So if you haven't reported this issue to your dealer you need too to get replacement pads. I have no idea yet if dust will be more or less of an issue.. time will tell..

From my experience with previous 3GS, the brake squeaky issue getting replacement pad cause more ham than good, each time replacing the pad they will machine the rotor and causing it thinner and thinner. The rotor will get wrap easily later on. Unless you get them replaced both the rotor and the pad. Likely they won't because dealer get pay more for labor to machine the rotor than replacing them. Check the brake TSB and you will see labor hours paid by Lexus for machine the rotor much more than replacing.
On my 08 GS I had them replaced the front pad 4 times (change to low friction, change back to high friction....) and still refuse to replace the rotor, the result the front rotor crack during heavy braking (I can see the whole piece rotor cracking). Contact the lemon law lawyer and the car bought back by Lexus. So far the 4GS didn't give me squeaky yet, still under 5K miles. Hope it stay this way.

My F Sport is 1 year old with 6,300 miles and my brakes don't squeak. I guess I'm just lucky or it is coming later. Maybe it's the climate. Dallas has relatively low humidity. I've always been told that could be a contributor.

My F-sport at 12,500 miles and 1 year old with no squeaking at all. I am very **** about vibration and noise. So far so good. A lot of ice, snow, salt, sleet, rain, etc and still quiet.

After 4 visits because of the brakes this is exactly what my dealer just did. Additionally, they milled the rotors and then had to replace the front Pad with some type of special order pad.

Simple enough? Wrong -- my dealer initially installed the pads wrong and it made the "fix" worse than the problem. I had to bring it back in and they realized they needed to install in a particular direction which seems to have done the trick.

Stay on top of the dealer if you hear the sound -- they know about it and will get it resolved.

My assumption cars shipping now will have these new pads on them already, correct?

Default Standard / Luxury Grade Front Brake Squeak

Some Standard/Luxury grade GS 350 vehicles may exhibit an abnormal front brake squeak while traveling at slow speeds. A new brake pad kit is available to address this condition

here is the TSIB # L-SB-0128-12.

the F-sport moldels do not have a fix yet. they are currently working on it.

the brakes are differnent on the F-sport model.
