Default Remote start 2017 GS350

Hi everyone, I just purchased a used 2017 GS350 and can’t seem to get the remote start to work. I pressed the lock button on the remote twice and then pressed and hold on the third press but nothing is happening. I also downloaded the Lexus app and registered the car but it doesn’t show the remote start button. Am I doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi jkay5665 if I remember correctly 2016/2017 remote start is no longer working because the 3g signal. It requires a subscription to use remote start with the app and the key remote if I’m not wrong. I have a 2016 myself and switched to 12vsolutions for remote start instead.

Works on my 2017 using the three press method you described. Have to hold it kinda long on the third press, maybe 6-7 seconds. And the range on it sucks. But it works. Used it a couple weeks ago.

Also I have never paid for the remote start. I bought my car used, not sure if first owner paid for it. I suppose there could be a third party option installed without me knowing but I doubt it, first owner leased it.

Nice Jkay5665, I bought this one; https://www.12volt.solutions/product...32689955045479
2016-2018 Lexus GS350 Plug & Play Remote Start Kit (Push Button Start) × 1 Standard Kit + App Module

It was $479.98
Shipping $15.50
Taxes $0.00
Total $495.48 USD
There was a 15% off and they refunded me - $71.99. So in total it's about $423.

But!, try the remote again since CottageChz was able to start his. I haven't tried using my key fob to try and start because I use the credit card key.

Finally remembered to test the remote start with the physical key fob and yes it does work.

So I can use the key if I went to remote start it from inside the house or nearby but if I want remote start from far away then I’ll use the 12 V solutions app.
