Default 16-18 GS350 Remote Start Module

I know that this topic has been discussed with the 13-15 GS350 models, but does anyone have experience with an add-on remote start module that can specifically apply to the 16+ model GS? I see posts that say "may work", but hopefully one of the forum members has installed the feature and can vouch for it's compatibility. (I'm hoping to find one that will work with the OEM key fob.) My 'subscription' runs out next month.

My wife just bought a '18 Honda Pilot and the remote start is perfect: directly from the key fob to the car, sets the climate control to 72*, and when you open the door it keeps running with the only need being a press of the start button to drive off. GRRRRR.... I know, rants on here are a'plenty, I wont start another....

So you're saying there is a module for 2016 that bypasses Lexus' ECU and can do a secure takeover (e.g., won't shut the car down when the door opens)?

I think that is too much to wish for! I'm just hoping to find someone who has installed an add-on module that will remote start without the app/internet connection and a subscription.

I have a DBALL interface installed on my '13 GS. It was installed as part of the Viper remote start system I have that allows you to start the car with an app. You can just opt for the interface module though which will allow you to start the car with your fob. Unless something changed in the newer 4GS models.

Yes, there are two reputable ones. My friend has the Viper on his Mercedes and he does not like it and recommended CompuStar. Here is probably one of the cheapest ones.

1 way. No confirmation when car has started: https://www.compustar.com/remotes/pr...m/?systemId=26
2 way. Gives a confirmation when car has started: https://www.compustar.com/remotes/pr...m/?systemId=26

If you want to use your Lexus key fob to start car, I believe their data module can accomplish that. Give them a call, they are helpful.

Thanks,

I looked on the Compustar web site and Lexus is about the only brand that is NOT listed as compatible. I may give them a call to see if they know of, or have, a product that will work.
Still hoping to get an answer....
