Cannot insert nav dvd
Hi all,
hopefully somebody has experience and can help me with this. After ejecting my nav dvd, I cannot insert it back in. It seems like the gears went up thinking there’s a dvd inside and won’t go back down to accept new disc.

Ibidu1, thanks for the reply. But my issue is not that it won’t eject. Something inside is blocking the dvd from being inserted back in.

If you have no luck with that pull out the dvd player, and open it up while it is plugged in to see inside what is actually going on. Worst case you will end up buying a used dvd player off junkyard or ebay

I’ve tried the ejecting, the gears were trying to do something but didn’t reset anything. Taking the dvd drive out is what I’m afraid of. I’ve read that the dash has to be taken out to access it?

Sorry to say, but it's broken. I have tried every method to reinsert the disk, but it's just broken. I ended up buying a used one from ebay and swapped it out. With this new (used) one, I will leave my disk there until the car dies or if/when I sell it. With Google maps, I don't even use the navigation in our car anymore, but it's needed for other things like maintenance reminders. So, while we need a disk in there, we don't need the latest one.

Sorry to say, but it's broken. I have tried every method to reinsert the disk, but it's just broken. I ended up buying a used one from ebay and swapped it out. With this new (used) one, I will leave my disk there until the car dies or if/when I sell it. My mechanic removed it, and I put it back together with his guidance. That was a couple of years ago, so I can't give you give step by step instructions. I do remember you'd have to remove the shifter ****, the center piece, and the glove compartment. Sorry, I can't be any more specific.
