Wheel and tire size
Hey,
I'm looking to purchase a 2007 GS300 soon and want to get wheel and tires for it delivered before I pick it up, but not sure what tire size I need to ensure they fit stock with no rubbing or modifications. The wheels I'm to purchase are the Axe EX20 gloss black with polished face. The wheels are a staggered setup. 8.5" for the front. 10" for the rear. I'm not sure of the offset. The tires I plan to put on these wheels are 245/35/20 for the front. 275/30/20 for the rear. Will this setup fit stock on a GS with no rubbing or problems? How wide could I go with the tires before running into problems? I want to keep the 35 and 30 profiles for comfort. Sidenote. How would this setup make the car look without lowering the car with coilovers or some other method? I don't want it to look like it's on stilts, but I don't want to lowered to the ground either. This will be a everyday driver. Thanks!

10 wide without a drop or camber/fender roll will look super goofy I can tell you that. it will stick out too much. gonna be mexi flush. and those wheels are garbage

Depends on the wheels offset, and also the brand of tires you run. I had that same setup with a minor 3/4" front drop and I did rub in the front. I had to do finder liner trimming to not make it rub.
It barely rubbed when I ran falken tires, but when I switched to the conti dws (more squared edges) it rubbed like crazy. Also one brands tire size may not match another brands labeled tire size. You can pull the data sheet of the tires that you plan to purchase and see what the total height is.
If youre not awd, you can probably safely run 235/35/20 not sure how available that size is or how prices compare to a 245

Right. So I guess I should do what everyone else is doing and throw some Vossen CV3's on it. Are you saying at 10" the rear wheel will stick out? From what I'm reading that should be flush. So how wide can I go with the rears to keep them flush? I don't mind it looking a little agressive. I really don't want to do any body work or lower the car. Not into that 'stance' bull****. Just want a nice looking everyday driver.

Its not AWD. What offset should I be looking for to keep it from rubbing? This is the first time I'm putting wheels on a car and I'm lost. Plus I'm in the UK. They don't put rims on their whips out here like they do back home in the states. Even finding a rim shop is a challenge. I'm getting these wheels online and delivered. I'm getting this car super cheap. 2006 GS300 for around $3,000. 100,000 miles on the clock. Didn't want to put too much money into it. Only gonna have it for like two years before I go back home. I found some cheap Landsail LS588 tires that I plan to mount on the wheels. Budget tires, but has good reviews.

I ran a 20x10 rear wheel, and fitment was great no poking out whats ever. If you like those first wheels buy them, I dont think they look bad
