I'm also interested in a how-to removal video along with any information on how to "fix" inside rear-view mirror that has developed "patina". IIRC someone offers a re-mirroring process, details? Thanks!

Mine for some odd reason every 2 years the torx bit screw on the bottom always backs out, and I have to tighten it. "Im assuming" you just unbolt that one torx bit and just slide the mirror up from its guides and then just unplug whatever plugs.

OMG my local Lexus Dealer quoted a price for part # 87801-30030 of $1049.50. A quick on-line search for OEM Lexus parts sellers showed discounted prices ranging from $788.70 down to $712.98. The used items I found on fleaBay showed discoloration and streaks like the one in my 430GS. At this point I'll live with what I have. Oh well!

TY! It’s 8/2021 and I just saw this, and need the service. It’s so annoying to look at the messed up mirror.

here's an instructional video on how to remove / replace the rearview mirror.
as someone mentioned, there is a service that does restoration for about a hundred bucks, but i ended up going on www.car-part.com and got a nice used one for about that amount, shipped.
