Lug nut won't tighten on stud - keeps spinning
Hey Guys - Over the weekend I changed out my suspension. While putting the wheels back on, I think I somehow managed to strip one of the front passenger side wheel studs. The nut is on the stud, but it keeps on rotating and doesn't tighten.
Question 1: Do you think it's possible to strip the splines off the stud without damaging the hole it goes in the hub? Basically I'm hoping I can just remove the damaged stud, clean up the hole and replace it like in this article: wheel stud replacement
Question 2: The alternative to replacing just the stud is getting a new hub assembly which I think is highly possible since the studs are pressed in and the hole of the stud maybe damaged as well. If I were to replace the hub assembly, what do you guys think about aftermarket ones like this: 1aauto aftermarket wheel hub assembly
Question 3: Have any of you guys had this issue? What did you guys end up doing?
Thanks in advance!

Remove the lugnut and remove the wheel and see what is stripped it could be the lugnut or the stud itself. If it is the stud man car manufacturers leave a small cut out to simply remove the studs. Most likely you will need to remove the brake caliper and disc, with a hammer pound that stud out of the hub.
You can buy generic studs from any parts stores theyll match up the sizes for you. To install them from the back slip the stud through the cut out and slide it into place, then use a bunch of washers and a lugnut with some wd40 tighten the nut as to press the stud into the hub.
