Default Newbie... help regarding bumpy ride

Just this week I started to notice my GS350 has started to ride VERY bumpy. I mean stagecoach rough. Have not had this problem in the 6 years I've owned it. It has 98k miles on it. What could be the likely problem?

Greatly appreciate any counsel or direction. Oh and if you suggest a problem, can you take a guess at the cost to fix it too? :-)

Thank you!

Struts? That's my guess.

No one can tell you without proper diagnosis, but my guess would be struts also.... Go to a REPUTABLE shop or LEXUS, pay ~$100 and have it diagnosed to be sure (you might have more underlying problems that you don't know about).

Thanks... would struts be indicative of the "hard" bumpy ride I'm experiencing? It's not bouncey. Just hard like no shock absorbers at all. (Maybe that's it!!!!)

bad struts would be bouncy as they dampen the spring recoil, busted springs would be harsh as they would not soften the blow and the strut would just take punishment. were your springs modified/car lowered?

No, I haven't had anything modified with the springs.

Could also be a bent wheel. Hit or run over anything lately?

Is the temperature getting cold in your area lately?
