Did anyone ever HAVE to replace their struts?

Default Did anyone ever HAVE to replace their struts?

I just wanna know if anyone on here ever HAD to replace their struts because they were worn or failed the bounce test like mine did, if you push on them from the rear or front and get the car bouncing up and down and let go, if the car bounces on its own more then once they need to be replaced. Mine bounced almost 2 times but the ride doesnt feel that bad, a little bouncy at times but otherwise fine. If anyone had to or changed their struts can you tell me what improvements were made on the way it drives. Im thinking to change it to OEM since I dont wanna ruin the "lexus" ride. Thanks everyone

Our cars are very heavy, over time shocks will give out. It's recommended to replace around 60-90k.

Technically you never HAVE to replace your struts. The only downside to having worn struts is ride quality. If you like that stock Lexus ride then you should replace your worn struts.

I was in the same boat as you.. I bought the kyb gr2's...love them... they are a little stiffer then stock...but gives good handling if your stock height.

My GS3 has 110k miles now and still has the stock shocks. I had them tested and the results were good. I think I'll be keeping them another 10 or 15k and then put in some lowering springs with KYB shocks.
