Default Headlight Question

My driver's side bulb at times will just go completely off. Is it the bulb or the ballast shooting craps?

yes this is a topic that comes up at least once a week. do what post #2 says and swap the bulbs from side to side. if the problem follows the bulb, then its more than likely a bad bulb.

a flicker from the same bulb? ie it didnt work on the drivers side and when you swapped it over to the passenger side it flickered? if so then more than likely your bulbs are going and its time for new ones.

If the bulbs are out, check out our vendor XenonDepot, great bulbs from what I've heard (once again, repeated many times too! LOL)

GL OP.

Turns out the flicker was from me not having the bulb secured tight enough to the latch. Took it to the dealer after I realized this. They believe the ECU is going bad. They say the entire assembly has to be replaced. $1600! Haven't got it back yet. Glad the car is still under Certification.
