Hey guys,

I'm nearing the end of my original factory warranty for my 2009 lexus GS 350. I'm currently at 49,200 miles and looking to get the extended warranty for my car sometime this week. The Lexus of Cherry Hill, NJ is quoting me around $2350 for a 6yr 100,000 mile or $2750 for the 7yr 100,000 warranty. I drive probably around 24-25k miles a yr so I figured the 6yr might be a better option for me for the time. I have a few questions if you guys can help me answer them:

1) What did you guys pay or your extended warranty service?
2)What option do you guys think I should go with according to the amount of miles I put on?
3)Can I purchase warranty at a Toyota dealership? Would I be able to bring it to Lexus to get serviced if I did? and would it be more cost efficient to purchase it at Toyota rather than Lexus?

I agree. I bought the 8 yr/75k platinum warranty from them two years ago after much research for the best price. At the time, contributors to this forum were directly responsible for my contacting Jerry (thanks to all). I called my dealer to see if they could match the price, and they couldn't come close. However, under the extended warranty they had tp replace the stereo and sunroof motor. The warranty had obviously more than paid for itself, and I still have almost two years and over 20k miles to go. We'll be again contacting Jerry next spring when my wife's '10 RX approaches the end of its factory warranty.

I bought a warranty from Troy Dietrich awhile back but Jerry is said to be cheaper.

$1275 is quite a difference,
That's why they're called 'stealerships'...

 

I just bought a 7yr/100k mile warranty from Jerry Johnson for $1600 (approx) after my local dealer priced it at $2200. Cant beat the price and service. I was a bit skeptical because I live out of state, but the you cant beat the service he provides. I recommend him hands down...
