Hey people!!

I'm at the 50k mark and my warranty is officially expired. Should I invest in the Lexus extended warranty for another 50k miles??

Is it worth it?

Your thoughts and opinions, please!

 

I'm usually the one that would get it cause I don't want to have problems down the road, but it depends on you if you really want it and feel you have had a lot of warrantable repairs then go for it. Many people have said it isn't worth it to get it but sometimes it does help when it comes to TSB's so I would say yes. But has to be a Lexus warranty.

 

if you are out of the factory warranty, you can not get a lexus warranty anymore iirc.

 

I guess that helps my dilemma. The gentleman at the service center didn't say that. *shrugs*

 

I bought 100K Platinum for my 2007 ES350 and also my 2007 RX350. I paid $1250 for 100k miles for ES and $1000,00 for 75K on my RX which only has 18000 miles on it.
Just got new 2011 ES350 and got rebate of $600 for the ES350.
Never used either, but it sure gave me peace of mind..................
I figure for a $42,000 car $ 1000.00 is cheap insurance and with the interest rates nowadays what interest rate would you get for CD.............
I know its a gamble but I think it's worth it.
I shopped around and got low rate, printed it out and went to my dealer in Dayton and they matched the prices.

 

well double check and see what he is actually offering. i could be wrong but from what i remember reading, you need to extended your lexus warranty before you reach your 4yr/50k mark.
