Problems with side mirror
Hello all.... I have a strange spot in my side mirror and would like to know if anyone knows what is causing it? Loss of coating? Faulty heating? I am attaching a photo.

If you notice at night, these mirrors automatically tint if the driver behind you has excessively bright lights. They are called "electrochromic." What you're seeing is the thin-film coating (think calculator display) peeling off for an unknown reason. It could have been because of a faulty mirror heater. You're going to have to replace it. Sorry!
