Default Squeaking brakes.

Hey guys, so I have been having issues with the braking. Whenever coming to a complete stop and pushing the brakes, their is a very loud squeaking noise. I know these cars are infamous for their brake noise, but what would I be looking at to replace them. Any recommendations. Please help as I know a lot of us had the squeaking problem. Thanks shivam!

Are you within the basic warranty? If so, take it in to the dealer as there is a TSB for it.

Id get them looked at. I just had my rear pads and rotors replaced at NTB for $480. I wanted to do it myself but I didn't have the time.

Mine does the same thing. Last week I got tired of it, and decided to fix it. I removed the pads, the inner shims, and outer shims. I sprayed them down with brake cleaners, and applied a thick layer of brake grease to the back of the pads, and both sides of the shims. Now, they're absolutely silent. The total time was about 2 hrs for both sides, so it was well worth it.

Concur,
OP, if your current pads are good, just do as KevGS mentioned. Pull the pads and shims off, clean all surfaces and apply ample amount of anti-squeal grease/compound to all sides of the shims etc and re-install. If replacing pads do the same.
Easy and relatively quick and painless job. Save your cash for now etc.

Incredibly true...
Lexus OEM brake pads have been notorious noisy and dusty. They are however great pads in regards to braking feel and performance.

Cheers

They squeaking for a reason lol. I had them replaced on my IS before because of the dirt they put out and the squeaking under the tsb. They changed the pads and braking was never the same after. Their "high" performance pads which stopped really well but your ears will pay the price. That's why they came out with the liquid graphite color rims, so the brake dust doesn't show that bad lol
