Default Mirror acting funny when in reverse

I set my mirrors at a certain level and I set it for driver 1. Now I driving and when I go to reverse the mirrors are suppose to rotate down but they sometime don't move or may move a little. Then some times when I turn my car on the mirrors are set in a different position so I always have to platoon them. I keep the left or right light on so they can rotate. Anybody experience this?

I expirenced this a while back, but it never happened again, and the mirrors don't go all the way down like BMW's to really show the curb, but you do have the mirror unselected so the mirror can go up and down.

it neither mirror is selected then the mirrors will not tilt down. if a mirror is selected and the mirrors barely tilt down and do not go back to the correct position, then the gear instead the mirror is broken.

likely it's the gear. It moves, it will wear out. I turn mine off cause most of the time I don't need it. I turn it on when I do need it.

I turned mine off when they started to act weird.
My wife hasn't complained about hers.

Both my mirror gears were replaced, and it's starting to act up again. This is getting too japanese ridiculous.

When i have my mirrors selected, the driver side goes all the way down and the passenger barely goes down. Why is it so uneven!?

^ I think the gears are plastic, they worn out pretty fast.

The mirrors have a defect I had mine replaced . I put the switch in the middle so they wont move up and down in reverse.

mine has been doing the same thing, not too sure if its da gears cause when I use the button to make them face down the go all the way down , its wierd too I have them set to the memory set and then they will be a different angle when I get bak into car, was thinking it might have something to do when I fold the mirrors in, gonna check this out and see what happens

i had this problem and took my car back & forth to the dealer 3 times before they replaced it (under my extended warranty). if you have this problem, and are still under warranty, you should bring it to the dealership to fix
