1. bake the headlight in the oven for about 10 minutes at 200~250 degrees.
2. pry oven the front lens cover slowly making sure you don't crack the front lens cover.
3. pop the orange reflector out.
4. clean the grooves and get rid of original sealant. you won't be able to clean off all so just clean off any excess or messy part only.
5. apply fresh high temp sealant from local auto parts store in the groove and put together the front lens cover.
6. I like to throw them in the oven again for few minutes to soften up the sealant. once out of the oven find something to keep the headlight housing and lens cover clamped overnight.

in order to remove it you have to take apart the headlight (ie remove the lense). I believe Al (beez43) did this when he blacked out his lights. Another alternative is to just use some type of vinyl to cover it.

heres an example

heres Al (beez43) headlight

also another member wikidbwoy did his

once you do it, might as well change the lenses to TSX-R lens for better flicker and shaper cut off line.

Man I want to see this in person if your going to swap out the lens. You will see more headlight mods in the 2gen GS section that will virtually be the same process and more pictures.

I wonder how much better the light would be with a TSX projector. I think one of the main issues is how our HID bulbs are inserted sideways instead of straight forward.

good idea. if you aren't going to change the front lens as least clean up the current lens. my projectors look like its coated with grime.

it would be nice if you could custom cut a clear lens reflector, like the stuff on bicycle wheels.

Those shaded lenses do the same thing for your visibility as wearing sunglasses at night. I bet they are paired up with a tinted windshield.

Some people care more about looks than having a safe and functional vehicle.
