have an 2006 gs300 that have 100k ish miles and i think the starter gone bad, anyone else have the samething? and how much is an starter? any idea on what happen? thanks ken

Why do you think you have a starter problem? What's are your symptoms?

First time i hear a starter on 3gs, need more details on symptons.

this started happen last week, when the car take 1 or more to crank up and today it didnt even start but does have crankin nosie.... everything else is on.... so what can this be?

OK I just jumped it and it started!!!! what does the means? battery going bad and not engg power to turn it?

Most likely your battery is "circling the drain". I would have it checked, and if necessary - replaced.

if its the original battery, i would say its probably the battery. i doubt it the alternator or the start

fyi a stater is $286 from mylexparts.com

Starters do one thing....Crank the engine. If your engine is cranking, then you don't have a starter issue. I'm assuming it's cranking since you said "cranking noise".
