Default Thermometer location

Where exactly is the thermometer for the outside temperature? Mine seems to be accurate, but usually when I leave work after the car sitting all day, it seems a little high.

Thanks!

i believe it's bottom of the car. it's normal for the temperature to be off when you first start the car (outside) because of the extra heat build up. same with other brands of vehicles i have owned

Looks like the left side of the lower grill. My old BMW is the same way. I would say it's normal. Funny thing about some BMW's (I know E36, not sure about the rest), it was in the horizontal part of the fender liner. So if you ran up on a parking curb, you stood a good chance if it ripping off. The outside temp would show something like -20 degrees and the A/C wouldn't work. I guess it thought it was too cold for you to need A/C.
