The Caliper Mounting bracket I received for my front brake kit did not fit. The holes are drilled a little too narrow and shallow. The caliper could not be mounted flush on the knuckle. When you try to tighten one end it forces the other end out of alignment. When you hold up the bracket to the holes where you want to mount it, you can see that the holes don't perfectly square up to holes on the knuckle.
Anyone here have ksports on?
Well, I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if there's anuthing I can do.. Keeping fingers crossed.
On a postivie note.. I did finally get my wheels mounted.
No,,, didnt' think about it at the time.. could of used my phone but probably would have came out crappy. I'll probably try mounting it again and better document the issue.
Here's the pic I have. They asked me to send a pic with measurement of the hole spacing for this bracket and the knuckle holes. I'll be doing that over the weekend.
The holes along the curved edge supposed to fit on the knuckle, the holes on the straight end is what the caliper is mounted on. The top holes match up the caliper perfectly. It is the holes for the knuckel that do not match. On top of that the bracket isn't tall enough. Not quite enough room to clear the knuckle.
The bracket was a seperate piece, it didn't come assimbled along with the rotor.
I rec'd a spec sheet from ksport and the spacing between the two holes on the curved side is supposed to be 120mm from center hole to center hole. Unfortunately, this matches exactly to what I have on the hole spacing.
Can anyone else check the holes on the knuckle spacing from center hole to center hole or if you have a caliper lieing around and measure the two holes that are used to connect it to the the knuckle on the car. I believe it's gotta be farther apart than 120mm. It looks like mine are. I'll find out for sure this Monday.
So far Ksports seem eager to get this corrected hopefully this will work out.
This is for the front knuckle. thanks. I have a 2006 GS300 RWD.
I'm wondering if they gave you a BBK kit for a GS350/GS430? Good luck! I'm curious how they do CS-wise and how you like these things once you get it all in place since I've considered these BBK
I have 2 options for you. I have my rear calipers in my garage if the brackets are the same from front to rear (they "look" like they are) then I can measure them for you. If you go to the 3gen classified we have a member in Canada that is selling GS430 front calipers. I know he will measure them for you
Are the brackets R or L specific? And did you or your TECH try both ways? I ask because the shop that installed mined did them backwards the first time and I had to go back thanks to Javy for pointing this out. I can take one of my front rims off later today and take some pics of my front caliper if that does anything.

Yes, this is what I was thinking as well but they claimed to have sold this same set to people with 2006 GS300s and GS350s so it should work. I'll definitely keep this thread updated with the progress made or not made. I told them this could be a big opportunity for them since I don't hear may Lexus owners using Ksports.

We did try using the the different brackets for the right and left side both had the same results. The rear brackets they provided us fit perfectly on the rear knuckle. I appreciate the offer to take off your rims, I'd actually need a pic with the caliper removed and the distance measured between the two holes that the caliper uses to get mounted on the bracket. If this was something you were going to do anyways..by all means that'll be appreciated. Please don't do this on my account since I'll be doing this tomorrow. Thaks again for your respones they've been helpful.
I've also seen that FS thread, I'll send him a PM.
No problem. Just let me know if I can get any info to help you out. I cant remove my caliper but I can take my rim off and measure and take all the pics you need
well, now I'm confused.. took off rotor and measured the knuckle holes on where the Ksport bracket goes.. Damn thing fits. It must have been operator error.. We tried both brackets and they worked ok. The knuckle holes are 120mm from center hole to center hole. The only thing different is we tried it on the Front Driver's side tire, where the first time we tried this on the front passenger side. Well, I'm gonna give it another shot next Tuesday and install them again.
Second times a charm..
Took car in yesterday to have another go at installing my BBK. Even though it appeared that the holes are drilled the proper distance for a flush fit, when it came time to tighten the bracket, it still looked a little off. From what I was told it was a few mm off which is what I encountered the first time. This time we were able to get a hold of ksport and we spent a lot of time going back and forth on what to do after emailing them pictures on the fit. As it turned out, ksport suggested shaving the hole to make the bracket fit. So this is what we ended up doing. They grinded about one mm off each hole to make the bracket fit. Not what I would have preferred but it works now. I have 250 mile break in period so I won't be pressing these brakes just yet.
If anyone considers these brakes you might need to shave the holes on your knuckle to mount the bracket by just a hair to make these fit. The rear brackets fit perfectly. I'll try to get the pics from my shop, hopefully they took good ones.
