Default That thing in the glove box

This is probably a stupid question, but I cannot figure out what the thing inside the top right corner of the glove box is for. It looks like a DVD player but it isn't. It's inside the glove box.

Press the menu button on the dash, on the top right corner hit map dvd. Then on the lower left corner hit eject dvd. I wouldnt mess with it unless u got a updated cd to put in there.

^ It's a DVD, not CD. Same shape/size but more capacity and a few other differences.

And I agree, don't bother with it unless u have an update DVD. It can't be use for anything else as far as I know. I wonder if it get damage when ppl try to eject while still having the glove box closed. Annoying to have it inside the glove box too. Why can't it be hidden somewhere in the trunk?
