I was considering installing a DVD player in the SC430 that I plan to purchase. I have a DVD player lying around the house still in the box and would like to use it if at all possible. Initially when I was considering the LS, I figured I'd put it in that huge glove box or under the seat somehow or worse case the trunk. Given the limited space of the SC trunk I'd like a neat install in the cabin somewhere as long as it does not impede on the limited interior space. Do you guys think an average size DVD player would fit or am I crazy?? Thanx

umm...... i am not sure about that, the glove box is ok size, kinda like my gs one, but i am not sure if it can hold a whole player?

I have my owner's manual, maintainence manual, NAV manual & my insurance/registration papers in it, & there's not much space left for anything else . . .

Stick in the new PS2 slim. I think it might fit.

Thanx I guess thats more practical in terms of space saving. I was just hoping to find use of this DVD/TV tuner I bought 4 yrs ago. Don't ask me why its still sitting in the box.

Not an exact answer to your question, but my old Sony TR5AP laptop fit great inside, new T370P doesn't, however.

You definately cannot fit a "standard" size DVD player in the glovebox, but could perhaps fit one that is a portable size. I have a portable DVD player that is slightly larger than a CD jewelcase, and I think it would fit inside my SC430's glovebox.

Perhaps I should have put the dimensions. Its approx. 10 1/2" x 3" x8". weighs 5lbs. I figured that because theres no glove box CD changer there was a remote possibility of it fitting. Worse case I'll mount it on the side of the trunk.

Doubt it would fit in the glovebox. I have a 6 disk DVD/MP3 changer mounted in my trunk no problem though.
