Default Hid?

hey my driver side HID keeps tunring off when im driving but when i turn the lights on and off it turns back on I was just wondering does that seem like a problem with the buld or do i have another problem?

replace the bulb, it's "burned".

Makes sense. HID bulbs last around 4-5 years under normal usage.

Could just be the bulb but that happened to me and it was the light assembly itself and you don't want it to be that.

The same exact thing was happening to me. What I did was swap the bulb from one side to the other. Its weird but I haven't had a problem since! Might want to try that. Doesn't hurt to give it a shot!

alright sounds good ill give it a try.....
whats a good brand of bulb that you would recommend for replacment.... or should i just stick with factory?.....

Stick with factory which is Philips. If you want to change the look, buy a Philips 5000K or 6000K bulb from cargym.

If you want the regular 4300k Phillips then eBay has the best prices. Just make sure you get new ones and not used.

I went with off brand... much cheaper.

if U do want the OEM Phillip 4300K ebay has some very cheap one too (forgot who it was that told me on here). Search.

Turbo, HID is using gas instead of filament. And when it get aged due to use it require more power to stay ON. When it get beyond the power the HID can put out, it'll turn off.

It turn on for the first few minutes because that is the starting stage, HID use more power when it starts and than switch to NORMAL mode... that's when the power is not enough for the gas to stay lighted.

This worked with my newly purchased pair of Garax 6k bulbs

ya i swapped the the bulbs and the same bulb kept turning off so i figure it must be the bulb then so im gonna grab some new ones...
