from my experience, it's more like hit and miss, i don't think the problem is ever "fixed" from factory

my 08 still rattled pretty badly from factory, now way better after my tech's fix

when you take it to lexus to get fixed they typically just reinsulate the dash.

I am getting ready to purchase a used GS430 and hearing these things makes me wonder.
I never driven the 3rd generation GS. Are the dash rattles so bad and loud?
I love the way the car looks from in and out, but dash rattles are never too much fun.

if its not fixed it can be annyoing. you pretty much here a rattle over every bump. i had mine fixed a year and a half ago and still rattle free.

if your buying it from the dealer tell them you want it fixed. if not, just make sure the car is still under lexus warranty so you can get it fixed for free.

In 2008, rattles remain a "feature" in this car.

in my case clips were changed and also stuffed more insulation to tighten up the fitment thus reducing the chances of flexing
