In a 06 GS430, Does ML system standard with cars equiped with navi?>

No, you can have one without the other. Best way to know if it has ML is to look for the ML logo by the tape deck. When I was shopping for mine, I ran into many dealers saying it had ML, but there was no logo.

 

you can have navi without ml. a lot of people confuse premium sound with ml. like mentioned, look to the left side of the tape deck and there should be a little logo that says Mark Levinson

 

Also, you can have ML without Navi, albeit not common and difficult to find. I have yet to see one.

Actually saw one in pics a few weeks ago when shopping for mine. Thosught it had most of the things I wanted, but then noticed it was missing the Nav buttons by the screen.

 

Non-ML pioneer system in my 06 sounds fantastic to me and I am used to "good sound" with a decent HT, so... I don't think it should really be a deal breaker one way or another. Now, it's possible the pioneer system in 06 got downgraded over the years to make the ML option more appealing though. There was one link somewhere to consumer reports showing a different rating on sound system (getting worse) after 06. I guess it's plausible.
