Does anyone know where the relay is on GS or what is the easiest way to disable DRL? Tried the dealer and they refuse to disable the DRL
Thanks!
I did that on my RX. I did not, and still do not know how to do it on a GS. I was not able to locate the relay to even try that mod. I ended up paying the dealer $60 and they turned them off, but not before calling the regional Lexus and getting their approval.
thats crazy paying for it.. dealers can easily turn them off

just install the kit. the DRL will not run. we were just discussing this on another thread; rominl pointed out that the DRL run off 50% power, which is not enough to ignite. at least, that's how mine run anyway. i installed the plug n play kit, and have no DRL, just parking lights.

Since the electric current keeps running even though bulbs are not igniting, will the life of the ballast or bulbs be shorten. Are you sure that your lights are not flickering while driving?
Spoke before with folks at v-leds.com and they told me that I will experience flickering since there is only 50% of power provided. I can add DRL module that will provide full power but I will be blinding oncoming traffic.
Actually it is kinda weird, b/c in my friend's Camry it has the on/off switch for the DRL... Yet on their premium vehicle, we do not!?!
Considering it is illegal NOT to have DRLs in most places outside of the US, there is a reason not to have a switch or include it in LPS.
If my dealer turned it off, they would possibly be commiting a crime and I would get a ticket which allows the police to impound my car if I don't get it fixed in a certain number of days.
