does anyone know how to update my 2006 lexus GS300 Navgation system?

its impossible. the 4th gen system is so out dated that it can not be updated
















no seriously what are you trying to update? to the new 5th gen system or just update your navi disc?

kevin and IXI already covered the main ideas. if you want to update the database, then you need to get new DVD and replace the old one with the new one

but you can't update from your gen4 nav to gen5

Actually, you can, but for the cost you quickly reach the point of diminishing returns.

to pile on a bit. if it's updated maps you are looking for it is as easy as getting the latest DVD, ejecting the old one and inserting the new one. Same as you'd change a dvd on any other player. the navi dvd player is in the glovebox on a 2006 GS 300.

You will need to purchase the generation 4 disc. Latest version is 9.1 which was just released on Sept 1, 2009. It's a matter of swapping your old disc with the new one if you want to upgrade. For more information, send me PM.
