Default nav dvd upgrade?

hey so i uploaded a few pics of my dvd nav cd can anyone help me with which dvd i need to upgrade? or can someone tell me which gen navi system i have in my car. thank you

Generation is base upon the car's year of manufacture. The most recent map is version 10.1 of which ever generation is in your car. Each iteration of the map is one year old when published each September.

its saying i am gen 3 but i dunno if the owner before me ever swapped it. i am trying to find out what dvd to buy for the upgrade

If the part number on the DVD is 86271-33032 (it's hard to read in the photos) then it's a Gen 3 system so the part number for version 10.1 of Gen 3 system is PT219-GEN23-09. A gen 3 DVD would not work in a Gen 4 system and our SCs did not use the Gen 5 ECUs.

oh ok great . i am trying to get my navi to work again after that wiered japanese error . i found out that if i get the updated nav disk it will work. i tired burning files etc but nothing works so i am going to just buy it.

i found this disk will this work on my nav and btwi forgot to ask based on my old disk what version do i have? the disk i just found was a 7.1

According to the picture of your old disk, you were running 03.1

So, while 07.1 is "old" compared to the newest release, it's 4 years newer than what you were running. I'd call that an upgrade.

Will a Toyota disc work in a 2003 which is a gen2/3?
If so, which disc?
